It was a great way to end our school year! They were able to pick up end of the year gifts from teachers, their special graduation Bible from the church, and enjoy a popsicle treat. Our pre-K teachers, Director Melissa Jones, and Pastor Ginny setup tables outside our building to create a “drive-by Bible ceremony.” We were excited to see so many families come to say hi as we congratulated them on a great school year. Although we could not gather in person, we still wanted to celebrate our preschool graduates. On Friday, June 5 th VBCC had their annual Bible Ceremony. Please sign up to pre-pack one or more bags with the prescribed list of grocery items. We are hoping to collect 300 Food Bags of Love. The first will be held at Vienna Presbyterian Church on June 20th. We will continue to provide food cards throughout the summer and we are also working to supplement the effort with periodic food drives. Thanks to our community’s collective generosity and support, our initiative has already distributed 2,000 food cards and helped 315 families in need. In response to the growing needs in our community, Vienna Baptist Church partnered with local Vienna school principals, counselors, PTAs, churches, and nonprofits to create The Vienna Student Food Initiative.
