Your template will import into your instance of Scrivener, and you will subsequently find it in the list of templates for a new project next time. ![]() Now, navigate to the template file on your computer. To help authors gain maximum exposure for their groundbreaking research and application-oriented articles, IEEE offers three options for open access publishing. Affinity Publisher allows you to create (export) and open document templates, which typically contain placeholder picture frames and text. If you click on that, you’ll see a drop-down appear with the option to select IMPORT TEMPLATES. Notice the button on the bottom of the window called OPTIONS. Importing a template from here is a breeze. If you don’t see the splash screen below, and Scrivener loads your most recent project automatically, simply click on FILE -> NEW PROJECT and it will launch the splash screen mentioned previously. Download one of the templates below, corresponding to the book size you are using. Simply launch Scrivener, and you’ll see the splash window below that lets you start a new project by selecting one of the templates that come pre-loaded (or that you have already imported) into Scrivener. I do however use Ancestry (Family Tree Maker), and this is what has prompted me to develop this Scrivener Template. And much like InDesign, Affinity Publisher also supports pre-made templates. I don't use Scrivener on Windows so I don't know where it's up to. Affinity Publisher is a great, affordable alternative to Adobe InDesign. Sorry, I don't have it specifically for the Windows people, but it may still work?
